Thailand, The perfect place for a destination wedding
Angela and Troy’s wedding
Our owner, Angela, herself married in Koh Samui in 2007. Angela married on the beach in Lipa Noi, Koh Samui with 52 of her closest friends and family. Angela’s husband was from the UK, so it made sense to choose a location halfway between the UK and Australia. It was an amazing week of celebrations, including a night out at the infamous Full Moon Party on Koh Phangan, a private yacht charter with a DJ, drinking, and snorkelling for the buck’s party, and a day spa and lunch for the hen’s. The wedding was a great opportunity for families and friends living in different parts of the world to get to spend some quality time together, and lifelong friendships were formed.
Angela and Troy wanted to have a western style ceremony while incorporating a part of the Thai culture, so they arranged for Thai dancers to entertain the guests at the beginning of the ceremony. There was also delicious local Thai food for the reception’s dinner. Each guest was given a Chiang Mai lantern, and given the chance to light it, make a wish, and release into the sky. This is a Thai wedding tradition and makes for an incredible night sky. To end the night, Angela and Troy had a ten minute fireworks display.
It was an incredible experience and one that inspired Angela to build a company that can help other couples create a once in a lifetime wedding experience with as little risk and stress as possible.
