I have to admit the planning of the wedding was a little hectic at times with guests as most guests would ask us questions etc instead of contacting Karan and Wedding Destinations directly. So it felt like we were constantly chasing things up... The resort was absolutely beautiful and the wedding planner was awesome. She was patient and very helpful with everything. The set up for the ceremony and reception was gorgeous. Unfortunately the weather was not so kind to us and too wet for the wedding to be outside so we had both the ceremony and reception in the ballrooms. The ballrooms were beautifully decorated and the staff were fantastic! The weather did hold out for us and allow us to have photos outside which was great. The other benefit of having it inside is the aircon as it was so humid getting photos in between the ceremony and reception. Overall our special day was everything to us and to be able to share this with our friends and family just topped everything! We got married in a place that meant a lot to us and wouldn't have had it any other way. One piece of advice I would give is to not get married in monsoon season as you don't know what to expect. This is the 4th time we have been to Phuket and 3 times were during May to July and yet this was the first time we have experienced rain continuous...

Thank you Wedding Destinations for a perfect day and a fabulous holiday and honeymoon. From the beginning the expertise and help of your staff were fantastic in helping us choose a wedding location and making recommendations for our honeymoon location as well. A special thank you to Annika for putting up with a sometimes very demanding and impatient bride. Merlin Beach Resort was an excellent choice and the planner on the ground Petchari was fantastic as well in dealing with the couple of hiccups that occured along the way. The beach entrance for the ceremony was absolutely picturesque and the resort photographers ensured that the beauty of the day was captured. The reception was beautiful with amazing food that catered to all my guests including the vegetarians in the bunch. The open bar was fantastic and great value for money. We could never have afforded such a luxury in Australia. For most of our guests it was their first time in Phuket and they all agree that they will be going back to Thailand and will most likely stay at Merlin Beach again, as will we.

Andrew and I had our wedding at Merlin Beach Resort Phuket on the 19th of August 2011, and it was the best idea ever! We had a magical wedding just like something from a movie. It was stress free and we really didn't have to do much. The wedding coordinator Petchari was fabulous! She did an amazing job and made sure everything was running smoothly. The resort was stunning and the staff were brilliant. It was just a perfect wedding and I wouldn't change a thing. My guests all had a ball and loved the resort. We all now share the precious memories of the wedding. Thank you to Wedding Destinations for helping us create such a special and most memorable day.

Having our wedding at the Merlin Beach Resort was a easy decision for Nath and I, But with the help of Annika and her guiding me it was a very easy thing to plan too. The Merlin Beach were very helpful with any request I had from the colours to the flowers, people told me that it wouldn't be the same as getting married here but in my opinion it was better and stress free..

Annika was able to help with any problem we had even down to mother of the bride problems which was great for me and she guided me in decisions that I was having trouble with, for example i wasn't going to have my make up done by the resort, I was just going to do it, but she suggested that to get the best out of my photos to get it done and i'll be forever greatful i did. . I love my photos and cant stop looking at them. 
Having the chance to have a baby elephant was the icing on the cake, the whole resort came to see the elephant, it was a wedding present that i would of never been able to have here and i'll never forget it.. 
The photographers were great, they went above and beyond what you would get here and the price is fantastic and the album they put together was fantastic! In the end i got nearly 2000 photos of everyone at my wedding, from the kids blowing bubbles to us girls out on the dance floor.. 
The food was fantastic the whole day ran so smoothly, it was raining in the morning so they were setting up inside but i really wanted the ceremony outside and when the weather cleared up they moved the ceremony outside without a word of complaint. The ceremony site was just as beautiful as was the ceremony and the reception setup was exactly what I wanted "one big U shaped table" so it felt like everyone was sitting together and we could see everyone.. 
I HAVE NO REGRETS.... I want to go back for our 1st year anniversary and again to renew our vows at 10 years..
The Merlin Beach were fantastic with our kids as we have 4 girls. The staff couldnt do enough for us, when they saw us coming down to breakfast they were getting high chairs so we didnt have to worry the barmen at the swim up bar would play with them...
All I can say is a huge THANK YOU to Annika she is fantastic at her job and she couldnt do enough, we weren't a easy group to deal with, from last minute cancellations and people travelling then not travelling again.. 
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.. We had a fantastic time..

Thank you to Karan for planning our absolutely beautiful wedding on 24 August 2008 at Merlin Beach Resort. The staff at Merlin were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble for them. From the day spa staff doing our hair and make-up to the waiters servicing our wedding dinner, everything was above and beyond exceptional. Our flowers were gorgeous, the baby elephant a highlight, the Thai classical dancers and lanterns on the beach night left not only our guests oohing and aring but also other visitors to the resort. Many of our guests said it was the best wedding they had ever been to. Even resort guests at breakfast the next day came up to us to say how beautiful the wedding was.

One of our highlihgts was to see a group of young children fresh out of the pool chomping at the bit to get close to the baby elephant. The excitement and somehow we think it was the highlight of their trip to Thailand. The day was one we will never forget and we are looking forward to going back there to celebrate our first wedding anniversay.

We had a wonderful time in Thailand. The people were amazing. The wedding was just incredible. They did everything we wanted, and did it perfectly.
 
The weather was perfect, although we were a little disappointed when we discovered that dinner was not set up outside, instead it was next to the restaurant. When we went outside to release the lanterns we found that it had been raining earlier, and this is why they made the change. Eating inside was beautiful though, they brought inside our archway, and all of the flowers.

Mr Surin (wedding co-ordinator) and Marek (the celebrant) were just fantastic. Mr Surin made sure that everything was perfect, even last minute things, like our music which he only received about 10 minutes before the ceremony! He was amazing.
 
Everyone that attended was blown away. They could not believe that something so amazing could be so well organised from the other side of the world. So thank you so very much. We really appreciate everything, and it is definitely a day that we will never forget!
