Tackling the world of Indian weddings - Part 2

Tackling the world of Indian Weddings – Part 2.

And we are all planned – the last two weeks have been intense with trying to finalise all the last minute details like the menus for the Henna & Oil as well as obtaining a final count on guest numbers and sorting out all payments.  We pushed to have it all sorted before arriving in Phuket as it’s really important that the couple have time to relax and enjoy their few days in Phuket before the wedding and not be worrying or running around trying to sort out any last minute details.

It was a big task to get it done but we made it and they couple have arrived and are enjoying their pre wedding hens and bucks parties in Patong.

For me, I touched down in beautiful Phuket yesterday.  I have arrived a few days earlier to have a couple of days of much needed R&R before the big event begins.  I think it was a great idea to allow myself to acclimatize, coming from the midst of  a Melbourne winter to the heat of Phuket.  We are in the height of the wet season here in Phuket although the last two days have been perfect sunshine so we are praying to the goods that it remains this way.

I decided to stay down in Cape Panwa, an area which I had never been to before and this place is amazing (a separate blog post to come)   I will be heading to Karon tomorrow to get ready for the big day.  Tomorrow I will have meetings with sound and lighting and our wedding planning team who will be assisting me on the day and then more meetings on the 30th with the wedding couple, venue, designers, decorators and family.

I’ll also be getting in a couple of site inspections at some new venues we are working with but for now it’s time to chill – soak up the weather, have a swim, take a boat trip and enjoy cocktail or two.

Part three to come...
